What are Adobe Connect Apps?
While Adobe Connect comes standard with many "pod" options, including polling, notes, and media, there are external add-ins, or "apps" that allow you to extend the software's capabilities. You can find a full list of available Adobe Connect Apps here, but some of our favorite (free) options include:
Digital Timer - Start and stop a timer within your Adobe Connect room - great for keeping presenters within their alotted time frame.

Randomizer - The randomizer will randomly choose a participant from the room, making it easy to select someone for presenting, answering a question, winning a prize, etc.

Social Stream - Stream Twitter and Instagram within your Adobe Connect session, referencing a hashtag of your choice.

Task List - Share your agenda (or some other list) within the session, checking off items as they are completed.

There are a variety of other apps, but it is important to keep in mind that many are paid/subscription services. Click on an app from the full list for more info and to see whether the app is paid or free. It is also worth noting that these are all third-party programs and not all are regularly updated or maintained, meaning they may or may not work within your session. Be sure to test an app in Adobe Connect before using it during a live session.
How do I use an Adobe Connect App?
In order to use an Adobe Connect App, you must first download it from the Adobe Connect Apps list. When clicking on an app for a full description and price, you should also see a blue "Download" button. This will download the file to your computer.
Adobe Connect Apps are displayed in Adobe Connect via the "Share" pod, and can be directly uploaded into the pod by selecting "Share Document" and navigating to the file on your computer, by clicking "Browse My Computer...".
Once uploaded, the Adobe Connect App should load within the share pod. You will always be able to use this app within the Adobe Connect Room, as it will remain under "Uploaded Files" .
