As you have probably heard, Northwestern is officially shutting down Blackboard on August 31st. This means that you need to export any materials that you might need before you lose access. You may want to consider saving the following from Blackboard:
Course Materials - You may want to save your course assignments, handouts, files, etc. Don't forget about courses you haven't taught recently but may want to reference in the future.
Student Grading Data - Northwestern student record rention guidelines recommend that you save, for one year, any material used to calculate your students' grades, including assignment submissions, discussion postings, and more. If you taught a class in the 2014-15 academic year, you may want to export this content in case of a grade dispute.
In order to export course content (files, for example), follow the steps here to export your course. In order to save grades, tests, and student submissions from Blackboard, follow the instructions here.
For futher assistance saving your Blackboard content, consider attending a workshop with NUIT or contacting the SESP Instructional Technologist, Alyssa Dyar.
