Getting Started

  • If you are using Google Hangouts for the first time, you will need to download a plugin. It is best to do this ahead of time so that you don't have to wait for it to download while you are trying to start your session.

  • Use the "Before you start your first video call" instructions here to make sure that your browser is appropriately setup to access your mic and video camera.

  • Note: If you are running Google Hangouts from the resident computer in Annenberg G02, 303, or 317, it will automatically use the room camera & mics for the conference.

Inviting Participants

  • To start a video hangout, select the person you want to include (or check the boxes in front of multiple names) and click the video icon.
